Susie's Story

Susie Schwarz was born in Korea and grew up in White Plains, just outside of New York City. Except for a brief stint eating tater tots in Atlanta, Georgia, she has spent most of her life in the New York area. Susie recently left a long career in nonprofits to try life out as a consultant. In her spare time, she enjoys lounging and eating leaves.

Luis's Story

Luis Vera was born in Lima, Peru, and grew up in Menlo Park, in the Bay Area. A Cali boy at heart, he spent his college years surfing around Santa Cruz. After starting out his professional career in San Francisco, Luis decided to give the East Coast a try. Today, he works in Times Square as a consultant at one of the Big 4 accounting firms. When he's not busy picking up after Susie, Luis enjoys climbing up and down mountains.

Our Relationship

We met in Brazil while attending the wedding of two mutual friends. Luis had grown up with Abi, and Susie had gone to grad school with Bianca. We had both been on the fence about making the trek down to Brazil until the very last minute, but deciding to just go for it proved to be the best impulsive decision either of us could ever have made!

Florence City Tour
